Hobe Kat
is sired by one of the premier sires of the
LaMancha breed today. We were not all that
impressed with this solid black buck for quite
awhile but he really started to stretch out and
look the part of a herd sire after we let him
start breeding some of our doe kids and even a
senior doe this year.
Hobe is
going to be a long-bodied buck. His general
appearance is powerful and dairy even if he
hunched up for the photo. We love the rear
angulation and sharpness of this buck. We have
kept an eye on his granddam, Ceylon, for several
years and jumped at the opportunity to get semen
from a buck out of Ceylon. Hobe Kat has already
bred several of our nicest young does this year
and we look forward to seeing what his kids look
like.
Hobe
improved as a yearling enough to score 84 +V+.
His first daughter will freshen in 2023 (Bricksie)
but if his littermate sister, Meadowlark HK
Katamaran, is any
indication, Hobe will be our udder buck. |
