Waikiki is a large bodied,
powerful doe and a full sister to Some Beach,
the sire of Meadowlark
Kat Ballou. She is a long-bodied doe with
excellent correct feet and legs and a very
pretty udder. In 2018,
Kiki was 4th place 2 year old, just ahead of
Karma at the Nebraska State Fair, then
surprised us by winning a championship leg at
the Madison show at the very end of the season.
We were surprised and pleased to see that Kiki
has a very nice show udder, fore and rear, on
her first freshening.
In 2019 Kiki brought home
a first and second place at the highly
competitive 2-ring show at Nebraska State Fair,
then got her 2nd championship leg late in the
season at Madison.
We only attended one show
in 2020 and Kiki finished her championship in
the first ring. Kiki's udder really wowed us
this year! Not only high in the rear with a nice
smooth fore udder but remarkably wide. Kiki's
udder carried the day against some very large
and fancy competition.
Power and mammary (E on linear appraisal)
describes Kiki. We
love her length of body and strong topline.
In 2020, Kiki gave us a new Jr. Herdsire who we
are very excited about: Platte Valley
VTO Jukebox Hero.
Kiki did not take to her
laparoscopic AI breeding in the fall of 2020 and
we thought she was not going to be bred in 2021.
However, we left her with Quincy and lo and
behold Kiki gave us a dynamite doe kid at the
end of July. Kiki will be bred to
Quincy for late spring or early summer kids. |
