Voila (Vwa-La) is one of
my favorite senior does.
Unfortunately Voila is also the hard luck story
of the herd. She freshened with a beautiful
udder and beautiful general appearance as a 2
year old and was undefeated in highly
competitive 2 year old classes. She earned a RGCH 1X
and a Championship leg that year.
We
had high hopes for her as a 3 year old, however
in 2016 at age 3 she freshened with quads and a
bad case of pregnancy toxemia followed by severe
mastitis. Her mastitis did not get better and
Voila will likely never be shown again.
Voila's outstanding depth
of body and wedge-shape along with
upstandingness is simply tremendous as an aged
doe. She does have weakened pasterns that have
persisted as a result of her severe toxemia in
2016.
Voila has 4 doe kids out
of 2 different bucks with 5 GCH and 4 RGCH wins between them as junior does.
Two Voila daughters,
Vivacious and Valkyrie earned their Milk Stars
as first fresheners. Val had 11.0 pound high
test and Viv had 10.4 pounds. Both Viv and Val
are now in other herds. We received notification
that Val earned her SG (Superior Genetics)
designation this year based on milk production. Another daughter, Zombieapocalypse,
easily earned her dry leg as a junior kid. Voila
was open in 2019 but surprised with with 2
beautiful twin does out of Kryptonite in May
2020.
Viola
will be bred to Kryptonite for March kids. |
