Hollywood was my favorite of Trix's set of
quads. She is long and dairy but very
uncooperative on picture day and going through
an awkward stage. When she is in-between growth
spurts she is a breathtaking doe.
We plan on holding off
breeding Hollywood until November to give her as
much time as possible to grow and develop. She
will probably only get one chance at getting
bred (we do not want kids born after April if at
all possible) so if things don't go as planned
she may end up a dry yearling. There is nothing
wrong with dry yearlings except we really can't
wait to see what udders look like
We did end up getting
Hollywood bred as a yearling, to Quincy, and she
gave us a nice daughter, Malibu Barbie.
Hollywood is a very
immature milking yearling. She did freshen with
a nice even udder with good attachments. She is
very dairy, very gangly and needs some time to
mature. All that said, we still think Hollywood
has a very bright future when she fully matures.
Hollywood has matured but
remains quite gangly. She is an extremely long
bodied doe and seems to be putting her growth
into legs and body length. She was 1X 1st, 2X
2nd and 1X 4th in 2022 shows. She appraised 85 +V+V
as a 2nd freshening 2 year old.
Hollywood will be Lap-AI'd to Kryptonite for
February kids. Backup to our new Jr. Herdsire,
Meadowlark RCBJ Jaxson.
